Welcome to the Whangamata Medical Centre

Whangamata Medical Centre is a rural general practice providing high quality medical care, including accident and emergency services, to the Whangamata Community. Set up in 1980, we are well established in the area with a good understanding of local needs and those of the many visitors to our town.

Our experienced team of doctors, nurses and support staff are focused on providing the highest standard of professional healthcare. To help you stay in good health we offer additional services such as immunisation and cervical smears as well as education and information clinics for specific health problems such as asthma and diabetes.

Whangamata Medical Centre is an accredited teaching practice for doctors training in general practice and for students. The presence of a student will be well advertised and should you not want to be involved in a teaching situation, please tell the receptionist or your doctor.

Repeat Prescription Criteria

(Please read this carefully before you use the form on the right)

Only patients enrolled at Whangamata Medical Centre may request a repeat script through this website. Please complete the request form fully and give as much detail as possible. If we have any queries about your request we will contact you by phone or your email address to resolve them. Please include medication name and exact dose.

Your repeat script will be ready to collect from the reception counter 24hrs after your request is submitted. The cost of $15.00 is to be paid at the time of collection. If the script is faxed to a local Pharmacy the cost is $16.00, or $18.00 for out of town Pharmacies and payment is required within seven days.
